Anicee started painting at the age of 3. This picture was taken in Belize, where she lived. She came to be our beautiful daughter in 2010.
Now Anicee is a bright, vivacious 13 year old who loves to paint. Her art has already wowed many, and has been prominently displayed in the Colorado State Capitol and The White House! Anicee has a rare brittle bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Anicee is an ambassador for the Children’s Hospital and she is an incredible spokesperson. Anicee had the opportunity to meet with Michelle Obama and give her an original piece. She gave her Balloon Festival. Michelle loved it and told Anicee that she will hang it in her office in the White House. What a fantastic day!

Anicee recently attended the Children’s Hospital Gala where she donated 2 original pieces to be auchtioned off. The two pieces raised $100,000 for the hospital. Amazing!!!! Here’s a link to the auction. http://youtu.be/Tw_fGZt4HbU

This piece was commissioned to give as a gift to the First Lady of Papau New Guinea. Anicee presented it to her at a reception in October. The piece is called “Colorado” and shows our mountains and our beautiful Aspen trees in the fall. She is with Kyle Dyer here who did an excellent piece on Anicee and her paintings. Anicee was selected as one of the student artists to paint a violin for the Colorado ASTA, Inc. Mark O’Connor Painted Violin Project. There were many artists that entered and Anicee was the youngest chosen. The violin will be signed by Mark O’Connor and auctioned off at a silent auction to raise money for the American String Teachers Association - supporters of public school music programs. It is absolutely incredible!!!
Anicee has started to make guest speaking appearances and she absolutely loves it! Here she is speaking about her life, all of the amazing things she does and her art! The 5th graders loved it and everybody was so happy to have met her!!!
